Using oat milk in your hot chocolate provides a beautiful creaminess - pure decadence! Try adding a pinch of cinnamon for a little spice!
500ml homemade oat milk
1-2 tbsp Maple Syrup
5 tsp Cocoa Powder
Pour the homemade oat milk into a pan and gently simmer on the hob.
Put the cocoa powder and maple syrup into a separate small bowl and add a tablespoon of boiling water and mix until all combined. Add this into the oat milk and whisk.
Warm slowly for 5 minutes, until hot - but be careful it doesn't boil over. Taste and add a little more maple syrup if you prefer it a little sweeter.
